4. Getting Stereoimages4.1 Using camerasStereo photos can be taken with a stereo camera , or two identical cameras mounted on a stereo bar with simultaneous shutter release . In case of static objects only one camera is necessary. For the calculation of the stereo basis a thumbrule is given by using 1/15 up to 1/30 of the camera object distance. A general form for calculating the stereo basis can be found under http://werple.net/au/~kiewavly/bases.html A Comparison of camera base calculation methods". |

4.2 The Virtual CameraEach 3D-programm provides a definition of camera viewpoints. It is helpful to construct the viewing direction by defining the camera point and the target point in a preview mode. The distance camera-object will reported from the drawing. By use of an offset command the viewing direction for the second image is easily constructed. Both camera stations can be copied to the requested viewpoints. Consider to set layer attributes and switch of the camera layers while rendering a scene. |
